The Arts

Exciting things are happening at Pope John Paul II Catholic School! While many inner city schools are cutting programs to balance budget, we are engaging students in our continuing commitment to educating and nurturing all of our children's talents. We have regular art and music classes, our students perform in the community as part of their Christian service expectations, and student artwork is regularly displayed in the hallways and in the gallery we've set up in our newly redecorated library! Our program is growing, and each student has the opportunity to explore their God given gifts, as well as to simply experience the joy of healthy artistic expression. We are proud to dedicate this page to the hard work and development of those gifts.

ARTS NEWS

Spring Musical
This spring's music program will be a performance of The Wizard of Oz! The roles have been cast, the scripts are being distributed, and the music learned. Come join us for a night of fun and music. The program will be May 24, 2012, so mark your calendars!

Upcoming Cookbook
We will be unveiling our brand new cookbook Spiritual Sensations in time for the Gala on April 13th. This book is will include art and poems by students, as well as family recipes from many cultures that have been submitted by parents, families, friends and pastors. there will be order forms available soon, so check back to see how you can get yours!
